“Friends”

“A Charmed Life”

Just wanted to post a few new and old photos of the fashion in my life that came up during my week.

-The first two photos are Katie’s hair and makeup for her unicorn costume.  I loved doing this, especially her hair, and I think it turned out really well. Go me.

-The third photo shows me on the best day of my life. Well not really, but it was definitely a good one.  I went to Goodwill for some much needed thrifting and I came across this gem of a vintage wedding dress.  I fell in love but the practical side of me said I didn’t need it, that I would never have a chance to wear it.  Expecting it to be kinda pricey, I figured that would be my motivation to leave it at the store. But when the manager came out and offered it to me for 5 freaking dollars, I knew it would be mine.

-Here is just a silly self-shot. Don’t judge, I just really liked my outfit. I am wearing a Nasty Gal crop top tank with a thrifted Express pleated midi-skirt and my Urban Outfitter wedges.

-The last of photo is of the lovely Liz and myself. I’ve really been missing her, and since she always looks good, I figured it’d be the perfect time for this picture.  We do look pretty boss, if I do say so myself. Liz in her bedazzled cardigan and me in my unnecessary-yet-necessary cow print cropped jacket. Just typing those words together was ridiculous.

the sad thing is, I actually liked it.

“ALL OVER THE PLACE”

EPIC ADVENTURES AND WENYE SAKURA.”

I’m back. So I’ve been away for a bit due to a crazy schedule but never fear, I am back. I’ve made sure to document all the fashionable moments in my life and here are a few of my favorite from a couple weeks back.

My roommate Katie and I, along with our friend Sara went on some epic adventures near a local creek. We spent hours in the woods eating fruit, exploring, face painting, and laying on our backs listening to music. It was a great time but things did get a little weird.

The rest of my week was spent photographing my other roommate Wendy.  She was on point erryday and I loved almost all of her outfits. I felt it would be obnoxious to post them all though. Maybe later, if I get bored. Anyway, I want to dedicate this post to Wendy, who puts up with my incessant picture-taking  and always looks hot.

-The first picture is my outfit for our day of adventure, a thrifted printed jumpsuit. Katie and Sara thought it would look cool to put a bunch of flowers in my belt. Not sure if it does…

-The next photo is Sara laying around, looking beautiful with her bindi.

-Here, I’m just taking my own picture because who doesn’t want to see my face?

-I loved Wendy’s all black outfit with her leather jacket from Urban Outfitters and American Apparel black pants. I’m gonna need to wear this soon.

-Wendy in her new NastyGal dress.

-In this last photo, she’s wearing black high waisted shorts from Urban and a tank from Charlotte Russe.

“The Green is my runway”

My roommate Katie thinks she’s hilarious. She likes to say I walk around with the words “The Green is my runway”  on repeat in my head as I go about my day.  No one likes her.  But to be honest, I have been posing for more pictures than I ever have before. I’ve always wanted to start a fashion blog as a place to post my outfits and Thre.ad has given me the opportunity and motivation to do so.

This week the weather was warm and I had to finally accept that winter was over.  As much as this saddens me, it was nice to break out some of my spring wardrobe pieces.  Having opportunity to get use out of my clothes makes going to class a little more bearable.

-First photo:  vintage slip that was a gift from my aunt, a thrifted black and gold smoking jacket, and my favorite Urban Outfitter boots.

-Second photo: thrifted black slipdress and boots.

-Third photo: H&M tanktop, vintage army dress pants, leather jacket from Urban Outfitters, and Nine West black pumps.

-Fourth photo: same vintage slip with a thrifted sheer over jacket on top.

-Fifth photo: American Apparel top with a thrited black midi skirt and Lucky platform sandals.

-Last photo: Thrifted black over jacket with Gap jeans and thrifted black chelsea boots.
